I took my SR9c apart to do some polishing and can't for the life of me put it back together. The problem is that the trigger bar and lift spring won't stay in place . Can anyone help me ? I watched every video and read every tutorial. Thanks a bunch.

It's tricky, took me awhile too. I think i had to keep mine sideways to prevent the spring from falling out and slide it in carefully. I think I also had to put the slide back on to align the trigger, using a snap-cap and dry fire before it would sit correctly.

Yeah I watched Galloway's videos. I just can't roll the trigger bar into where it fits without it falling apart. It is driving me nuts. And the lift spring is another nightmare altogether. Hopefully I can try it again later. Here is the issue:

I am going to send it back to Ruger if someone can't help me at a local club or anywhere you choose. I will pay with ammo or something similar. Please help.

After a week of trying to get the lift spring into place and the safety/detent spring to where it has to go, I FINALLY did it. Thanks for the info guys. I can't wait to take her to the range.

And the mirror finish barrel finally seated into the frame[smile].

Yeah it was real crisp and smooth. I was nervous that the lift spring would slip out after the first shot but I put 25 rounds through it without a problem. I really love the SR9c and it shoots like a 700$ gun IMO.

thats my opinion of the SR series as well. My cousin Nick is a glock fiend and he picked the ruger up and put in a fine group.

heavily considering the rocket connector as well, also thinking of being a copy cat and polishing my barrel like you! [smile]
