Hi guys someone suggest I move this thread to this section so I am.
I'm going to be buying a new rifle this week chambered in .308. I really like the look and accuracy of the Weatherby Vanguard series 2. Plus I have owned guns from them in the past and I am extremely satisfied with the brand. I think I will get the Synthetic Package shown here:

I know this is suppose to be a good scope but is the whole package worth the price? I don't wan to here about better guns I like this one. I just want to know if it is smart to buy the package. It is priced at $1000 but I can get it now for 800. I do not know much about bases and rings so I don't know what they are worth. What are your thoughts? Is this a good deal? Would it be cheaper to buy all these parts separately? The rifle goes for 560 right now. If like to do the package if it is worth it's price.
