Any stores in Central to Eastern Massachusetts carries the Hi-Point Carbines TS ?

9mm

An associates' teen-child birthday is Tuesday and they want 1,
they aren't NES members so the GP isn't an option.

Who carries them, will accept FID, and whats the price range ?

I got mine at Lee's Gunshop in Hudson, NH. Maybe a little farther than you want to look, but he usually has them in stock, and he sells then at MSRP. Mine was $285 a few months ago.

Most shops in MA, if they have them, charge well over MSRP for them.

Out of state purchase would add additional FFL fees, yes?

No, it's "cash and carry" for out-of-state long gun purchases.

A FA-10 must be submitted within seven days of the rifle entering MA.

Check "Registration", and complete the form, leaving the "Seller" section Blank.

I like to check out a place called Bud's guns online. I think they have great prices and free shipping. I don't know how it is with you Mass guys but in NH I just have to pay a $25 to $35 transfer fee to the shop of your choice.
I am intrigued by the Hi-point, ugly as hell but works. I only wish the capacity was more than 10. Then you have to decide what caliber.....9mm or 45. Not a fan of the 40.

I believe there's a 15rnd mag for this somewhere. I just read that somewhere on here, for those interested. Def a cool ugly gun for a good price.it has my interest.

Yeah the gun is a blast for the price... I would love to get new mags for it though. The stock ones they sell with it are the pits.

Didn't want to start a new thread - ammo question

For folks whom have the hi-point carbine

Which caliber, & what brand ammo do you shoot with it ?

Info on all 3 calibers is appreciated
9MM , .40 and .45

Ive read mixed reviews on those 15rd mags. About 95% of them have been bad, mostly that they jam like a mo-fo.

I own a Hi-Point 995TS 9mm, w/HP Forward Grip, HP dual magazine holder, Brass Stacker Compensator, UTG Bipod and a PowerTac Cadet 300 Lumen flashlight w/strobe. I love this gun.
I run "inexpensive" Federal Champion 115 g 9mm FMJ through it and it performs just fine. I can get a 50 count box for a little under $15.00.
Purchased the gun at Ware Gun Shop. The owner treated me well. Cost out the door was a little over $309. I thought it was very reasonable for that price. There is a big "smile factor" when I shoot this.[smile]

I have to second a73's comment. Going to pick up my new 995ts (9mm) tomorrow at Ware Gun Shop. Ordered it over the phone after chatting with Mike via email most of the morning. Even though he was extremely busy he could not have been nicer and more helpful. Took my info to do the FBI so I wouldn't have to wait when picking it up and called me later this evening to let me know I was all set. Can't wait to put some rounds through it now.
