Hk uspc range report

Already centered. I think she was more thinking about the FTF/FTE stuff.

I'm confident that it will be shooting fine.

Could easily be an ammo issue, oil in barrel, grease still left in nooks and crannies, etc.

I've run thousands of rounds thru my two USPcs and never had one problem with those guns (other than terrible trigger).

It's still cheaper to give the gun to Greg Derr or Dave Santurri to fix what ails it than pay the shipping to H&K.

I hear david santurri in north attleboro does good work? If so when i get trijicons for my gun whether it be the hk or glock i might send it to him .

But for the hk lem work, id rather send it to hk

LenS do you have the regular da/sa or lem? I know the trigger isnt good on the da/sa but what about the lem?

I used to have an HK USPc DA/SA and a buddy had his issued HK USPc LEM, both in .40. We took both to the range and shot them side-by-side. Honestly, I was unimpressed with the LEM. If I was going to carry the USPc, I would get it modified to SA-only (remove the decocker) and just carry it hammer cocked, safety on. But I understand that many folks are uncomfortable with that, and it might not be advisable for new shooters.

Unfortunately, there aren't many people who can do a decent job of fixing the DA trigger pull on the HK USPc.

If the USPc is jamming something is really wrong with it, or the ammo you are using is junk. Normally those guns rarely if ever jam.

Also take the mags apart and clean them out, too, make sure there's no grease or other gunk in them.

They are V1, regular DA/SA. I did change the spring per HKPRO forum recommendations. Brought trigger pull down an unimpressive couple of pounds, but still in a ridiculous range.

You are welcome to try either/both of them, .40S&W and .45, if you'd like to do that at Mansfield F&G, just send me an Email off my name on a post.

See my comment above.

I did not want to lose the decocker, so didn't go with the LEM. Besides ordering the springs from Brownell's/Midway and replacing them was trivial (took maybe 2 minutes each).

QB.....Face it, your going to shoot the Hk and my G19 and your just going to ask me to swap. [wink]

Face it that glock kool-aid is mighty tasty! If my ltc would come in (33 days now) id buy at least a glock 22 and maybe a 19 if I can't resist.... Who am I kidding! I still haven't tried a h and k but after glock perfection it's gonna be tough to compete!

I don't think either Santurri or Derr can do much to fix the HK USPc DA trigger. Either can easily fix misaligned sights.

Back when I had Santurri fix a botched trigger job on my HK USPc .45, he was unable to get a mainspring out of HK. I had to get the mainspring from HK -- I was lucky, it only took 5 phone calls and four weeks. Once I got the mainspring, I brought it down to Santurri to have him complete the work.

I've heard some folks claim that HK customer service has improved, but I don't have any direct experience in recent years.

Glock koolaid is refreshing. My fav drink. I'm up to no 9 now on my taste selection. 9mm, 10mm, 357sig, 40sw, 45acp [smile][smile]

See service has improved they answered the phone 5 times and you got your parts instead of an FU.[rofl]

In all fairness I have not delt with HK service but have read the epic tails.[smile]

Back in that time, when you called HK you were routed to a regional rep. They had no service/sales tracking system. So it all depended upon how good your rep was. If your rep was good, you got parts. Eventually. If your rep wasn't good, then you didn't.

Lens id be happy to dry fire the .40 / .45 LEM.

Was the one you have/tried the 8lbs version or the 5lbs version when i tested the 5lb version it was pretty easy to take up the trigger and fire though it did stack finally just before the break. Ive gotten used to glocks alot since its the ones i rent at AFS and when im with flyer, so it looks like i will need to test out the lem trigger again before i send it to hk.

QB, they are NOT LEMs. They are V1 with a mainspring change to lighten it a bit. Wish it were 8#. Don't recall what I measured but think they are more like 11# each.

QB, I believe that the LEM version that I tried was an 8 lb LEM -- it was a service issue gun for a federal ICE agent.

Flyer and I will make sure all possible causes are investigated before we give up on the HK. Im surprised at your USPc since my P2000sk was flawless out of the box. But I too drank the Glock koolaid and so I now have my current lineup and no more HK.

First i need to sell the hk for what i paid for hanwei. 800$:) then i can go and start lookin for a g19 and g26:)

I know, I know [wink] I actually do hope your HK woes work out. HK's are definitely not known for being fussy... so hopefully it's a small fix and it'll be good to go.

sorry but.. This just sounds completely unacceptable to me. IMO there is no reason a brand new HK should be acting this way. If you can absolutely eliminate the shooter as the cause of the problem, I would suggest bringing it back to where ever you got it from and having them fix/ repair or replace it.

I have a uspc 9 that has been perfect. Maybe you'd like to try mine as a control and side by side compare??
pm me if you would.

THIS THIS THIS !!!!!! HK,Smith,Glock etc etc etc ANY new gun out of the box should work properly. If not, bring it back

I wish companies had a week trial return policy. That way people wouldnt be stuck.

I think flyer fixed the sights , so we will see how its shooting.
Bought some clp, and ive got enough ammo to break it in.
50 rounds of fed 115gr champ
50 rounds of rem umc
50 rds federal hst 124 std
50 rds federal hst 125 +P

i would run ONE type of ammo... probably FMJs through at least 500 rounds... i think you've done too much at this point rule anything out. [laugh] [laugh]
