home defense shotty

So I'm thinking I want a home defence scatter gun. I'm thinking Rem 870 or mossberg 500, but I was wondering if anyone knows if either of these are made in a left handed format.

I have wierd problem where I can only close my right eye for some reason so for long gun shooting I like to shoot lefty. It's not a problem for hanguns as I keep both eyes open so I shoot righty.

Any fairly short range shooting (under 30 yards) should be done with both eyes open no matter what the gun.

well, I still need to shoot a long gun lefty. It just doesn't feel right to shoot it righty. Baseball, hockey, golf etc I do lefty, same with long guns. Everything else righty.

I'm the same. I shoot long guns lefty and do everything else righty. I have a Rem.870 and Mossberg 500 and 590a1. I like them all and have no problems shooting them lefty. I also have a 12ga. coach gun. That wouldn't be a problem for you either.

lefty here. The saftey on mossbergs are ambi. I have an Ithaca Pump that I had the safety reversed on as well.
