Bought one and can't wait to shoot it, while I'm waiting for the ranges to reopen my pet peeve about non-functional parts is itchy and I need to scratch it. I'm not trying to do anything illegal here but want to remove the pinned Magpul MOE buttstock and install something that is supposed to be fixed.
The MOE is mounted to an aluminum extension on the rear of the frame that shares the basic dimensions of an AR buffer tube and it will accept the same stocks. The MOE is pinned in place with a 1/8" pin about a half inch from the end of the underside of the MOE and I could probably cut a notch in the MOE and pull it off but I don't want to damage the MOE.
Any ideas?
