I picked up an MOE Magpul stock and got a BC buffer tube for it. Here's the result. The godammed cylinder has this protruding metal piece going lengthwise that won't fit into the hole in the stock. [angry]

Is there a specific buffer tube for these Magpul fixed stocks?

Looks like you're trying to put a 6 position carbine length buffer tube into a magpul stock made for a rifle length buffer tube. IE you bought the wrong buffer tube.

Yea you need an A2 rifle buffer tube, spring and buffer for that stock.

Yup... You have an adjustable buffer tube for a fixed stock. You need a standard tube/extension.

Almost might be easier to just pick up a collapsible stock and have it pinned than find a rifle length buffer tube at this point.

All set on this one, just need to figure out the best length I'm going to pin it at. If I collapse it all the way to the receiver, the charging handle is like an inch from my nose. Kind of awkward.

Not going to pin the break myself I don't think. If anyone knows of a shop or person who does the welding (I think it needs to be welded?) maybe they can chime in.

If the MOE stock you have goes on a rifle tube, then it does not adjust. FYI nose to the charging handle works for iron sights and is typical for shooting an AR platform.

My Colt match target is nearly identical with a fixed stock, in terms of distance. Honestly. I think it's just perception because I don't have an sights on the rail or anything else.

There is no set of rules other than - Does it telescope? Make that = no.
