I regret selling this ccw pistol

only one way to fix this in the future. never sell...Only buy. And it's not a junker.....carry guns need to be reliable not pretty.

Not all Paras are junkers and not all junkers are Paras. It worked for you and that's all that really mattered.

True. The problem with Paras is (was) that they were inconsistent. If you got a good one, congratulations. If you got a bad one. Oh well.

Its too bad because they had some truly innovative stuff. Their original wide body double stack gun, the LDA trigger, their Tactical target rifle which had a licensed copy of ZM Weapons DI system where the gas tube intercoursed with the bolt carrier under the handguard rather than inside the receiver.

All good stuff. All inconsistently executed.

I really liked some of the Para designs. They had a knack for creating a good looking handgun.

But, as they say, it's what's on the inside that counts...

i will never sell a gun. I got a browning auto 5 for christmas and for a moment of temporary insanity thought about selling my mossberg 500 becauaae i thought why have two 12 gauge shotguns......but the mossy was my first long gun and i spent alot of time on the trap range with it and i was the first gun i took hunting with my son. Every gun i own has some type of value. I will never consider selling a fire arm.

Ok. NES group buy. Sell us the girl in your avatar.

By the way. I've resisted long enough, but I keep getting taunted every time an update to this thread comes into my in box.

To the OP. I'm not trying to be a d1ck. But I'm kind of a language geek.

What the hell is a CCW Pistol?

How about just a "pistol"
or
"Carry gun"

I have a one man campaign going on against the term CCW.

Why? Because its a stupid term. Its often used where the word "gun" would be shorter, easier and more clear. At worst the word "carry gun" is fewer sylables and a similar number of keystrokes if you consider the caps key. Its also more specific. Since a CCW could be a knife, baton, or brass knuckles.

Also, the term leads to all kinds of abuse like:

1) I was CCWing. How about, I was carrying.
2) CCW license. In many states its just a carry license since concealment is not required. CT is an excellent example. Except there we call it a Pistol Permit.
3) CCW Pistol - see above.

There is no reason for this term to exist. Its popular spread is just incredibly stupid.

Don't get me wrong. In some cases acronyms or initials make a lot of sense by saving time and space.

ADIZ - Air Defense Identification Zone is a good example.

But more often than not these terms are only used as jargon. As a way to put up a barrier between the cool kids and the not so cool kids. Its counterproductive really.

Thanks for your patience.
