I was changing stocks and couldn't get the top hand guard off.....without thinking I removed the front gas cylinder assembly....after realizing that it probably wasn't a good idea I looked through the manual and sure enough it said it should not be removed and is set with special tools. I put it back together but I have no idea if its set right....
Is this really a big deal? or should I send it back to Ruger to be repaired?
Ruger of Newport NH is about 30 min away....I wonder if I can drop it off without shipping it.
Any help is appreciated.
