If you’ve ever wanted an ANIB Coonan 357 semi auto, here’s your chance.

They are going for crazy prices and the mags are nuts too. I have a “b” i picked up a long time ago for cheap money and when they started back up i grabbed 3 more mags for it. Had to modify the magwell as the new mags were a fraction larger. I remember being cheap and only grabbing 3 mags @$60/ea. now they go for stupid rapetile money. Still my favorite range toy. Ring of fire is fun to experience.

A friend of a friend of mine owned one of these, and I got to spend some range time with it and shoot it a bit. All I can say is "meh." And this was one of the original guns, not from the later production that was made more recently.

I get the uniqueness, and how collectible they are, but as a practical matter, the I found the design was not not quite there.

Any good quality 10mm is just a better, and more satisfactory, pistol in every way. If anyone wants a Coonan because it is just cool, there is nothing wrong with that. But we should be realistic about what it is.

I felt the same when I fired a DE in 357. I don’t know what I was expecting but it wasn’t what I got.

Are they still hot garbage? Someone on tge board has/had one and it went back for damage issues. I forget who has it.
Yup that was me 😂
Sometimes I wonder if I should have kept it given how much they shot up in value. But at the same time shit was breaking and with them out of business I’m f***ed. It was a blast to shoot and it ejected brass 30+ feet away which made reloading fun 😂. I do miss the rings of fire that it would shoot.

Pics are gone unfortunately from this thread:

This.....I fired one and wasn't super impressed. I get the boomer/Gen X nostalgia, but its just that. I could have bought one too back in the day.....think they were 700 bucks or something back then....even if that guy gets $3500 money would have been better put in the stock market for 30 years then letting that rot in the safe.

I would not over pay for one, Id just buy 10MM Glock or M&P and put real stout ammo in it and get real reliability.
