Trotter was carrying a "firearm control card," issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, that allows him to carry a weapon during work hours and for no more than an hour commuting to or from work. A department spokeswoman said a security company helped Trotter obtain the card.

Ahh carrying a firearm with a restriction...I am following this story closely.

The latest survey data shows that the fastest growing area for households owning firearms is among registered democrats and independents. Combining the two, Democrats and independents likely outnumber registered republican households or close to it. The recent upsurge in gun ownership statistically can not be accounted for by the republican right wing or the far right wing that may or may not be members of any organized party. The election last month showed very clearly the shrinking size and influence of the white/male/right-wingers in our electorate.
