Interesting Nerdy Pictures and Videos Thread

What a love hate video!
I've seen some of her videos. I think her target audience is high school? I can appreciate solving each step, but for crying out loud you can speed up the "Okay, so this here is 8+1. And we know that 8+1 is 9. So this becomes 9."

There are a few channels that do some interesting logic, math, statistics stuff. It always makes me feel stupid but I try anyway. I'm a smart guy, but for some reason statistics and my brain do not mesh. I might as well try and learn to code.

Brains work differently. I can take in all the networking, communication, and security "stuff" and just seem to know what will or won't happen. Sure I can walk it through the protocols, policies and filters, but that's almost an afterthought. On the other hand I've been working daily for 5 years with people that I can't even remember their last name. And if I'm only talking to you occasionally, chances are I'm writing down your first name, or avoiding using a name altogether. My brain doesn't do names.

At some level I probably knew this. I remember the little kid's typewriter I had in the day, and having to take it apart a LOT because if you typed too fast or fat fingered two keys, the hammers would get stuck. And when I hit the end of the ribbon I took it out and rewound it because there's no way my folks were going to buy me a new one. It did not type as well after that. Eventually my mom got an electric typewriter and I was allowed to use her manual one. UPGRADE!

It wasn't a toy necessarily, just sized for kids. And it had a cover that made it easy to carry around. I'm pretty sure this is it. Thanks to Grok for helping me identify it based on a description.

It looks like it only has 40' of bench space, so probably not enough room to do both.
And hauling all that up 3 flights of stairs and then back down, no way. I'm putting the reloading and workshop on the ground floor, in the living room.

Sniper nest goes up on top. You only have to haul up the sandbags once.
