Iraq guns

WOW! What a bunch of restoration projects there! Too bad no one on this side of the world will ever see any of them.

Mmmm... guns needing to be cleaned...

Sweet, sure wish I was in that room with a big truck [smile].
Those are airguns in the first photo, I have one just like it[grin].

My cousin Gary sent me this pic 4 years ago or so with the header "Look what I found!!"

No, he didn't get to bring it home. [sad]

He said that he couldn't tell me where he found it... but since it'd been in the news that they'd just taken one of Saddam's palaces a few days before I got this photo, I'm pretty sure I know where he found it.

I remember seeing on some special on tv that they had made these and the plated AK's for his guards or something so your assumption is probably spot on. It really sucks that they can't take them back here like a trophy or something. That thing is a piece of history. And it'd definitely qualify for C+R status so a lot of us would have had the opportunity to buy it had American import laws not sucked so much.

Oh, it came back all right. He tells me that some Admiral has it. Not sure what the Admiral did to deserve it, as I suspect that he wasn't any where near the fighting. [rolleyes]

Cool! Lets go get it, blast that gangsta plating off, have it reblued or Duracoated and bring it to the 7/4 Shirley shoot.[grin]
