I recently received an old 16 gauge J.C. Higgins Model 101.1, which is essentially a Savage model 94C sold by Sears Roebuck & Company under J.C. Higgins. It was a relative's closet gun, that was handed down to me. I have an FA-10 set aside for it, but I can't seem to locate a serial Number anywhere on this shotgun. Any one have any ideas?

It looks like there is no Serial Number, I have inspected up and down the shotgun closely. Will that affect the FA-10 submission process? I would imagine I'd put N/A or something like that in the space for the serial number. Also, will this registration count towards my transfers limit if I make some future purchases?

The gun you have is "pre serial number". My very first gun was almost just like that, but an Iver Johnson. (back in 1958)

You can buy as many guns as you want. You can only sell 4 firearms in a calender year using FA-10's, anymore than 4 have to go through an FFL.
