So I picked this beauty up for next to nothing expecting it to be cheap and a simple range toy but I was surprised by the micro groove bull barrel, quality of action, fit, and finish. I see these are not easily obtained and go for about $500. I already have a buffer set ordered for the existing one was toast. Just cleaning up the stock, barrel, action, and bcg. I intend to turn this one into an accurate build with a free float stock if I can find one. The synthetic stock is okay but doesn’t allow the barrel to float. I was glad to find more nickel mags online for sale too!

Anyone own one of these?

Nice. It looks like the 795 mags should fit as well if you need more.
When I first got a pic from my colleague who gave it to me I thought it was a 795. I bought mags at that point and researched a bit to see most model
60 variants were tube fed. The detachable mag is nice upgrade to the 7 models and the bull barrel a great addition. I expect this can become a fairly accurate platform if I do my part. Of course aftermarket support is doa after Remington took over.

How the finishing on it? My 795 was not great. Badly canted front sight, the inside of the receiver looked like they had just knocked the casting sand or whatever out of it and assembled it. Very rough, and it was pretty picky with ammo in my limited experience with it before I karma-ed it. It was a cheap gun to begin with though, and from what I've seen the 7000 appears to be a big step up.

Pretty sure this is from ‘97-‘99

Looks nearly identical to an old model 60 I have

Glenfield? Can’t be the same at all as the Model 60 never had a detachable magazine or a bull barrel but there also could be unicorns out there. Any pics if you still have it?
