Gun Test magazine ripped it pretty bad. Inaccurate, not very well designed, jamming issues and they rated it a definite don't buy. Only reason I remember that is because I wanted one. That is until I read that review. I found it funny that the NRA mag gave it a great review, but then again, the NRA gets money from Taurus. You don't bite the hand that feeds you, which it's why they don't give accurate reviews.
But in all honesty, I shot the 3inch magnum short barreled version earlier this month. Was it fun HELL YES! Would I use it as anything other than a novelty, nope. The spread out of the thing is absurd. We were shooting 5 pellet 000 buck out of it and out of 5 rounds, 2 pellets hit the man size target at about 15 yards. One in the shoulder area and one in the groin area (which should do the trick!). Busting clays with it was fun but difficult with the 3'' #4 birdshot we had.
It truely was alot of fun to shoot this absolutely rediculously huge snub nose beast, however there are far better choiced out there for defense.

The only others I know of are the 2 shot .410 derringers, and the "thunder 5" sold back in the 80s I believe. Im sure Thomson Center also has a .410 barrel for those single shot pistols.

Illegal here in the PRC and other than that I would rather have a 454 Casull.
Not sure but I think it was in Black Dog. (another really bad movie with Patrick Swayze)
