I just upgraded my Ruger Mark III Stainless Competition Slab-side follows:
I also have the VQ extended magazine release, but I think I need to polish it just a little; the magazine fits a little too tightly with it in and doesn't insert or eject smoothly.
I'm also waiting for a hammer pin bushing to remove the magazine interlock "feature."
... and I removed the loaded chamber indicator...
I needed the extended bolt release because the stock lever folds over the cocobolo thumb rest grips and I can't get my thumb under it to lock the bolt open when it's not on an empty magazine (e.g. "cease-fire and clear" during competitions); I need the extended magazine release for a similar reason (I can't reach it around the grips for fast magazine changes).
The new trigger is SWEET! I can make both pre-travel and post-travel adjustments on the trigger without disassembly.
And the magazines just shoot out of the well with the spring-loaded ejector!
- Added the Volquartsen spring-loaded magazine ejector;
- Replaced the extractor with the VQ extractor;
- Replaced the sear with the VQ target sear;
- Replaced the trigger with the VQ target trigger;
- and installed the VQ extended bolt release.
