So I have been looking for a carry gun and could never find a shield so I was going to the gun shop to "settle" on a PM9(great gun just wasn't 100%what I wanted) and saw this baby sitting in there.

Picked it up for what I thought was a great price $449.99. Also was able to pick up a extra mag. Now I just need to find a good IWB holster.
Sorry for the stupid post just really excited about this gun.

Thanks to ODS Guns on the Cape nothing but good things to say about them.

Hey man nothing stupid about finding the gun you actually want and think you got a good deal on it man. Congrats and it really sucks that it's so hard to feed the beast today!

Charles.

great gun. I bought the apex trigger, crimson trace laser, rubber grip wrap and crossbreed holster for mine. love the gun

Congrats on finding a great piece! I love my Shield, too. I HIGHLY recommend getting the trigger done, either the do-it-yourself Apex, or bring it to Lou at Business End Customs. (Be aware, if you do the Apex kit yourself, there is a known issue with getting the rear sight out of the slide, as sizing or ribbing often prevents it from moving except under the most Herculean of efforts).

As for a great IWB carry holster, I use the Remora 6ART w/ sweat shield (partial, not full), and it is super awesome; I highly recommend it.

Good luck, and be sure to let us know how you like it!

I am looking to try and carry it appendix style maybe with a comp tac 2 o'clock or crossbreed.
Only downside to getting this gun is I cant shoot it until Saturday.

Congrats on the Shield. I just picked one up last week. It's currently at BEC waiting for Lou to work his magic on that poor excuse for a trigger. I also just ordered a Crossbreed Supertuck Holster. Everyone seems to have nothing but praise for them. Can't wait....

Congrats on the purchase.
I picked one up a few weeks ago.
Just ordered IWB holster from http://www.remoraholsterstore.com/; spec below.
Should be in this week. Have been using a Uncle Mikes, but dont like it.
I have a Remora for my BG380 and like it a lot

REMORA SERIES 6ART "RFT" HOLSTER (IWB)
[Added Light / Laser / Laser Guard:NO]
[Modification 1:NO MODIFICATION]
[Modification 2:NO MODIFICATION]
[Gun Make & Model:M&P Shield]

I love my shield congrats on the pickup!
I had Lou do a trigger job it feel much better, highly recommend getting one done or doing one yourself.
Unfortunately I've been carrying some generic BlackHawk IWB holster until my PJ Holster IWB comes in. Inside Waistband Standard Holsters | PJ Holster LLC
Yesterday I ordered some Talon Grips and a HiViz red front sight.
I'm stoked.
Happy shooting!!

I threw just the Apex hard sear in (not the whole kit, just the sear). Makes the trigger so much lighter and more shootable. Still kinda crunchy and gritty but light enough to shoot much better. 40 something bucks and its about a 5 minute install and requires only a punch. Just don't lose the spring and plunger that live under the sear! They'll pop out unless you take that factory sear out carefully.

+1 on having Lou at BEC do the trigger job & for the IWB I have the N82 Tactical which is so comfortable! I highly recommend it!

Just put the first 50 180gr through my .40, and didn't notice the trigger being an issue. Then, I'm used to my M&P.40. The first shot out of the gate was a bit left, as was the first round of a subesquent magazine. I also had a few in the 9 o'clock region. After lightening up on the grip, I put more rounds on center. It took a bit to get famliar with the gun moving around more than I'm used to, but strong-hand only was still putting rounds center of target. Off-hand shots were @ 21', and I ran a magazine through slowly @ 35', with a rest, to check the sights The gun points natually enough, but I feel I'll be needing to keep up with its handling with more frequent range visits.

I'm looking at getting a Shield, my only concern is the safety. The one Shield I handled, the safety was difficult to move. How do you find yours? If they did not include the safety, it would be a no-brainer for me.

Moose... Safety feels real nice on mine. Positive click in both positions but easy to disengage with deliberate swipe of the knuckle of my thumb.

Get rid of it if you don't want it, just takes a little grinding of metal:
