Hey all, many of you are probably familiar with the JRC line of rifles, which have been designed to take glock (or 1911) magazines, but I recently read that they started producing an M&P magazine version back in April. Considering the popularity of the M&P in the great state of Mass, I would have expected this to be a hot ticket item for local dealers, but no one seems to know about them, when I call around. I've found a couple for sale online, but they are the 17 rd versions, not 10 rounders.

Has anyone here found them in any of their local shops?

Thanks,
B

I realize that the Glock version is definitely more popular, but I don't own any Glocks at the moment.

JRC's are absolute wastes of money IMHO. Get a Hi Point Carbine/ KelTec Sub2000, etc.

I would rather have the jrc.
There more modular . You can swap the mag well and barrels out . Since they use more ar parts you have more options to set them up the way you want. Can swap to left or right handed bolt/ejection .

I was gonna get one before I said f it and decided to just build my own pistol cal carbine from scratch .

There ya go. It's like $500 more than their counterparts. **** that.

The JRC felt awkward when i fired it....not sure why but I wasnt feeling it.

the CX4 storm has me more than happy. Awesome build quality, under $800 and uses 92fs mags....what could be better than that!!

I've been eyeballing all of the carbines mentioned and I don't think I would be dissapointed with any of them. My primary reason for looking at the JRC M&P version is the mag compatibility with my M&P's. If I lived in a free state and had it to do all over again, I would probably have gone Glock and Sub2000 combo, but no one has taught me the secret handshake or door knock to get a new Glock around here yet without paying 800.

mag compatibility is always a good thing. personally i like to have ~5 mags for any range toy so i can load a 50rd box and be good to go. if i'm already invested in a specific mag type, then it makes sense to try and maximize its use. since i'm into the beretta 92 series, the CX4 storm was an obvious choice for me.

basically if you like the JRC and find one that uses M&P mags, then go for it.

Pretty sure there's a gen4 g23 with a 9mm conversion barrel and 3 mags in the classifieds now for 650, just keep your eye out!
