kahr pm45 available in ma?

thank you. didn't think so, and have been searching around for reviews and it seems to be 50/50. which is not a good ratio...

I just can't see it being a good idea to pack a .45 onto the pm frame. It's a great platform for 9mm, but I don't consider it suitable for big-bore stuff. With that being said, I've never fired one, but it's not a carry gun I'd consider.

anyone own one of these and is it available in ma?

just wanted to hear some reviews.

I found one and love it. Best of both worlds for me. I am a sub-compact/polymer fan, and it's the perfect IWB companion. Weights 18 ozs. , small, light, concealable, quality all the way. Runs like a dream after the 200 rd. break in period and a good cleaning. Recoil is stought but really not a problem. My only gripe is the amount of rounds I am able to carry (6-7 depending on extended mag). But I wanted something in this size and weight, with a bigger bore than .380/9mm. What's not to like, I can hit paper plates 25 ft. out all day with it. Probably a moot point though, good luck finding one around here...

Care to elaborate? 'Suitable' in what regards??

i am interested in it since it is a .45 and smaller than the g30, which i have, but would like a pocket carry 45. do you pocket carry it or consider it a pocket carry?

I certainly don't pocket carry it. I guess you could, maybe, in a cargo pants pocket or something. I think it would still be tough if we are talking about jeans or traditional front pants pockets. Its small, but pocket carry for me is a Kel-Tec 380 or PF9. About as big as I dare go for pocket carry. I have a nice high rise OWB I have been using the past week or so, hides well under tee shirt, spring jacket. Etc.

thanks for the info rb. i appreciate it.

i'll give them a call tomorrow to check it out. would love to see one in person.

Your a bit of a ways from me, but I'd be happy to take you out for a go round with the Kahr. I re-read your earlier post, I have a Glock 30 and 36 also. Noticeable difference in size and weight.

The PM9 and PM40 are quite similar to each other. The PM45 is a different gun. It's scaled up substantially all around including the frame. While the PM9 and PM40 can be pocket carried, the PM45 can't be considered a pocket gun IMO.
