Kids got PCS orders

My daughter-in-law was promoted to E7 this past year (my son is a proud Army Wife).

She finally got her PCS orders, from Leonard Wood to... Riley.

LMAO!

Same post, different state, just about five hours farther west.

Huachuca was their favorite post, so the Midwest prairie is really not their bag.

This is probably her last post before retirement. They've done really well selling their last two houses during the bubble, so I wouldn't be surprised if they retire back to the mountains in Arizona.

She's 68W, so the parent unit mission doesn't really matter.

I spent a summer at Riley. The one weekend we got to leave post, we went to Manhattan and a sports bar named Emerson Bigguns.

I've used that pun as a joke ever since 1984.

My wife's brother was stationed at Riley once. She said she hoped it's better now. I said that Manhattan is still a college town, and JC is still trashville.
