Maybe, but they are buying it with OUR money. They can get more or OUR money by raising taxes. I wish it were that easy for me to make more money.

Or they can just borrow more. I think that even if Sequestration happens, we will still run a $1T+ defecit in GFY13.

so has anyone got an answer as to why does the DHS need armored vehicles, military rifles and ammo? These wont help feed people during an emergency, put out fires, or fix levies if they break. How does militarization of the DHS do any good for the country? We already have a national guard for civil unrest scenarios

A good start would be any and every military base with a runway. In terms of logistics I'd be a betting man on they are spread out for use, regional needs, distribution etc. As an example, I would be shocked if westover didn't have a massive supply that could be loaded on a C5 at any given moment.

I've wondered that too. If there's a major shitstorm uprising, those ammo storage locations will be strategic.
