Lever Winchester '94 30-30 cleaning advice

So I have a '94 safe queen that I have had for almost 20 years new in the box made before '62 without a shot ever being fired. Perish the thought but I want to start shooting it. The only issue is I have no freak'n idea how to clean a leaver. I will do the usual diligence but I wanted to see if you folks had any good sources/suggestions.

That's, never thought about that. The hive mind seems to suggest cleaning upsidedown so that any cleaning solution does not get in the action.
