Ruger 22/45. It is 10 oz lighter then the Mark III. With 5.5 barrel the Mark III is 42.00 oz and the poly frame 22/45 is 32.00 oz. I like the 22/45's 1911 grip frame angle better than the Mark III's grip frame.
S&W 617, 10 shot revolver. Get the 4" barrel so it won't be too nose heavy for her. Very accurate and no frustrations with ammo since it eats anything.
This was my first purchase and it is a very nice gun, your wife will love it mine did. Get some speed loaders online and you'll have even more fun.S&W 617, 10 shot revolver. Get the 4" barrel so it won't be too nose heavy for her. Very accurate and no frustrations with ammo since it eats anything.
Not a female shooter but +1 on the SR22. Love mine. No problems with anything I've fed it.Ruger SR22 - it's only around $300, easy and accurate to shoot, no problems with any ammo, and best of all - it's super easy to take apart and put back together! I have one and love it (I'm a female shooter).
