Looking for inexpensive night vision

Wondering if anyone can share their experiences with some of the Gen 1 or 2 NV equipment....maybe recommend a model?

I am not looking to spend a ton of $$ but want something thats not going to fall apart. The only requirement is that the IR illuminator has an on/off switch to save on batteries.

I have a gen 1 monocular from night owl. It works OK and has held up very well for several years.

I've been looking for the same thing. Is there any 1X monoculars? They all have amplification and I want a simple NVS14 style optic.

My unit does not magnify, just lights up the night. As stated, it works OK for short money.

A lot of these scopes seem to be hit or miss when you read the reviews.

I have an older ATN scope. Maybe like 4 years old but for the money works great as far as I am concerned. I bought it to hunt coyotes and with the IR illuminator up all the way you can see clearly up to 75 yards or so. You can see glowing eyes beyond that but not clear enough to shoot. Mine seems to be similar to the ATN MK350. The description says it has an illuminator but doesnt show it in the picture. I think mine was about the same price also.
