Just wondering if anyone knew if these were ever made before the ban/are importable to MA. I'd love to have a 92 with a rail on it. Thanks!

Nope. There are a few floating around but it'll probably take some searching to find one here.

Hi, sorry to resurrect this thread but I'm new here (both to NES and to MA) and am in the market for that same gun.

When you said "nope", do you mean to pre-ban or to transferring them in from out-of-state? I'd like to purchase an M9A1, and have a friend from PA who will sell me one. Can I buy from him and have him transfer in to an FFL? I take it they're legal to own, or is that "pre-ban" only?

Thanks!

There is no "ban." The problem is that dealers cannot transfer anything that isn't compliant without placing themselves at risk..... so your odds of finding a dealer willing to float it in, are, in a word, slim to none.

As far as getting a pre-98 exempt one, you can forget about that, too, because as far as I know, there are no pre-cutoff M9A1s... gun is too new.

I'm closing this out before this turns into a glue factory thread. [grin]
