Magazine Refinishing?

Hi All,

I just procured some Steyr FAL mags from DSA with some finish wear and was hoping for some advice on refinishing techniques. I found a well written article on parkerizing but was hoping to avoid that.

I searched with no luck, my search-fu is probably subpar.

I just ordered some Brownells teflon/moly spray on finish.

I hoped to stay with the traditional gray AR teflon finsish and im hoping this is it.

Online they suggest sanding or blasting the old finish off then spraying on several light coats then baking it at 300 degrees for 30 mins.

Anyone have tips on disassembling FAL mags and proper de-greasing techniques if you don't have access to a blasting cabinet?
