Thanks to mis-matched price tag at a Dicks store, i got a brand new marlin 336 18.5 inch barrel chambered in 30-30, with a scope, rings, and scope mount for 325 bucks.......make sure you pay attention to price tags at retail stores that sell guns, you could wind up with a pretty good deal.

Nice.

I have had good luck buying things at Dick's that were marked wrong. They are pretty good about honoring prices, even when they are ridiculously low.

They are building a new Dick's at the Hanover Mall. Not sure when they will open or if they will sell guns but I'll have check the price tags if they do.

Yes, no problems with it at all. Only about 200 rounds through it though, but the scope is still holding a zero. It is my first scoped gun and gets 1 and 1/2 inch groups at 75 yards, I'm happy with that for a strictly range gun.

Glad to hear it.
Most of the problems with the new ones have been more about fit, finish and smoothness of the action, than about accuracy.
Seems like they may be starting to straighten it out ...
I love the 18" barrel levers.
Not gonna hunt with it?

I got a $500 canoe at Dick's that rang in at $199. That was a nice surprise. The cashier raised a brow but I swiped my card as fast as I could.
