I think it's town dependent. ?? Carry a receipt of your renewal app and pretty sure your fine...even if that.

IDK I started my renewal back in August and still nothing heard and it expires late this month.

My town haverhill had always been 7 to 8 weeks on the dot. Not this time....my wife filed her renewal back in May (hers expired in july) and she didn't get the license in hand until f***ing October!

The State will say they're overloaded and your renewal receipt keeps your LTC active. The court will side with the State. Further, because it varies by town, you need plaintiffs who want to make things uncomfortable for their local PD.

Last week of August received second week of October....License expired October 7th...Just carry the receipt the local POPO send you.... Local Popo sent it along 2 days after I submitted my renewal...Hang up was with the state.

Wareham MA sent in application 9/23/24, received license in mail 11/16/24. No fingerprints for renewal and they use your drivers license pic, all done by mail. Obviously the problems are the towns.

I renewed with PD on September 26 and I’m still waiting.

I was told by PD that renewals were taking 4 months. My check had cleared the following week. A couple of weeks later I got a call from PD to come in for prints, MSP wanted new ones for some quality concern. The same thing happened at my prior renewal but I was told that MSP couldn’t find my prints. I don’t understand why, has this happened to anyone else?

Submitted my renewal to Haverhill end of June, license expired in September. Check wasn’t cashed until a month after my license expired. Going on 6 months, still waiting.

At two weeks, it still hasn't been glanced at.

Check the forum for COMM2A's call for victims of towns delaying the process and contact them if/when it seems applicable.

When I renewed in August of 2023 I got the receipt and letter immediately. It was months before the actual license arrived in the mail.

According to a state trooper friend of mine, there is one lady at the FRB who is tasked with processing all of the paperwork for the entire state. This might explain why they are so delayed.

She is also a hot cougar, according to him.
