would you mind scrubbing under the seat in the ladies room? It seemed a little overdue last week [laugh] [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

Damn, read this a bit too late otherewise I would have done it! [rofl]

I was mostly walkin in the woods and picking up trash, and haulin brush. Found like 3 dead skunks in the woods [puke2]
Somebody must be shooting them or trapping them and dumping them there. 3 dead skunks all within 100 feet of eachother (2 right beside eachother!!) is too much for a cooincedence.

Was a good time, and I was able to Chat with Martlet for a breif moment. He spotted me from across the room and waved....and I had NO idea why this guy was waving at me, and looking like he knew me.

Martlet doesn't look a THING like his avitar! [rofl]

I'll probably be back up there tonight after work trying to dirty the place up again!

Arrrrr

Gross. Yeah, there was a skunk at the beginning of the driveway the last 3 times I went down there. Hopefully you picked that one up,too. [crying] Poor widdle skunkypoos [crying] who would want to kill skunks? They never hurt anybody.

Totally agree, they're rather awesome, and friendly creatures, just like most of the people in this forum, besides being nice and interesting, they're heavily armed.

But they do dig up lawns pretty bad when you have a grub problem....that pisses some people off. And Much like the Kennedys and the Bradys, some are simply threatened by the fact that they're so armed, and want them dead.

And no, I didn't touch them...they were rather ripe. [puke2]

The boss used to get ticked because I'd sit on the deck and hand feed the skunks. She got a kick out of banging the door and freaking them out. I told her it's only funny until I crawl into bed after being sprayed.

Shit, sorry...I just realized how I worded that...I meant that since I didn't have to work tomorrow, I went tonight [shocked] My bad...I had the place all to myself though.

And yes, the ventilation is pretty poor in the Loeb right now...it seemed as though there was a big haze over everything.

yer getting that too?

I bumped into Jen and Pat when I was there in the morning and we turned it on....seemed fine. But on Wednesday night I was getting TONS of smoke blown in my face from a backdraft....

I think I might go tonight, I REALLY need to shoot my 1911! [smile]

We can't let a little gunsmoke get between you and your 1911. [frown]

I got a message from Jen and called the club's secretary and he told me that he would look into it along with the BOD member who normally works on such matters. I don't know yet if it's a repair or replace issue but I know that it's on the "to do" list as a high priority. [smile]

Of course, when they get there everything could be just fine - you sure it's all "gunsmoke"? [wink]

for what it's worth the blower seemed to function properly for the entirety of the class.

And we swapped from winter/summer depending on how hot or cold the range was at any given time. But Bob, Charlie stopped by and told us the HP match was cancelled... so the question remains, where were YOU? [laugh] [laugh]

Will their indoor ranges be ready tomorrow? The web says it's down today. My other club is having water problems so I can't go there... I'm having withdrawals!

According to the latest update: one down, one to go and it should be ready by tomorrow morning unless there are any additional unanticipated issues.

Both of the matches for Sun. are a "go", weather permitting.

MRA Annual Dinner

Don't forget - the MRA's Annual Dinner is THIS TUESDAY evening at the Woburn Elks. Fun, food, elections, awards - and this year there'll be a bartender [cheers]

It's open membership. Check out the Fun Shoot later this month, and you save $$$ if you join that day.

Here's the thread about it:

http://northeastshooters.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=10976

The main building has 24 hour access via electronic key fob. If you want to check it out before the crowds on the day of the fun shoot, the front door and office are open on Sunday mornings (a breakfast is served) and Wed. evenings (frequently a dinner is available) - come by and ask for a tour. Then you can take full advantage of the savings offered during the Fun Shoot (or just show up then).

That dinner was nice...I had no idea what to expect of the meeting but I enjoyed it. Nice food, nice people, etc..

Made me jealous of the tight-knit community of the club. I hardly get to go out there, much less participate in anything. Few years more...

You don't have to be there all the time - just try stopping by some Sunday morning for breakfast and you never know who you'll meet (or which guns you might get to try [laugh] )

I'm glad you had a good time - that's what it's all about.

Thanks for letting us know.

Aw, Jen and Patrick got an award! (or one of you did) [smile]

I see an awful lot of awards being handed out to instructors!

Yeah I got an award and the guys thought it would be nice if Patrick presented it to me (aka tell embarrassing stories about me in front of 100s of people [rolleyes] [laugh] ).
As far as the instructors getting awards, it's just a coincidence that some of the guys who put in a lot of time at the MRA are also on the instructor team.
