Modern 1-oz loads in a 1913 Model 12?

Just curious if there’s any apprehensions about using 1-ounce loads in a 20-gauge Winchester Model 12 made in 1913.
Presuming, of course, that the chamber has been modified to 2 3/4-inches.

I use modern rounds in my Stevens 520 that's about the same age. Slugs, buck and birdshot - it eats them all.

I'd take a Model 12 over anything produced today.

I prefer Model 11's

I run modern target loads in a pre-1900 break-action, no issues.

If the barrel is fluid steel, and the thing does not have random parts falling out of the bottom of the action, you should be good to go.






But, to be safe, have a buddy shoot it first.
