Just loaded 92.02lbs of farm raised beef in my freezer. It's 1/4 cow. 46% is ground beef, but the total break down is:

...I think I'll use it when someone I don't like comes for dinner....

what did the total weight and cost come to....

Is the beef raised withou all of the chemical additives etc. that commercial beef is raised with...

I'd be interested in 1/4 to 1/2 .....Group Buy ?
 
You can buy, quarter, half, or full cow. It's at Twist of Fate Farm.. If you go there and put in an order tell them I sent you. It's $50 deposit. $3.15 *hanging* weight. They also have fresh eggs ($3/dozen)

Your price is hanging weight / (1, 2, or 4) regardless of if you really got 1/2, 1/4 of the meat. It took about 2 months from order to pick-up. And the cuts are cut to order. Total weight of the cow was 531lbs. I paid for 132.75 lbs and received 92lbs.
 
Just be aware, there aren't a lot of steaks and roasts...so don't do a group buy with 10 people for a cow.... unless you really want ground beef....
