Mossberg MVP Thunder Ranch Rifle in .223 any good?

I got the regular MVP a couple weeks ago, and went to zero it in last Friday. (Not that I'm a good shot, nor can I tell you if the scope it comes with is total junk, or just low cost.)

Ran about 100 rounds through it, and can't wait to go back. I'm not a big bench shooter, but this makes me want to do it.

Fun rifle, and hell of a lot more accurate than I am.

Thanks for the info! What store is stocking them in Mass?

I got mine at the Wilmington show. Actually got a decent price for it, so I jumped on it.

EDIT: I want to note though, that my son had a hard time getting a consistent feed. I didn't have a single failure to feed, but he would get 2 or 3 every mag. I don't think he was putting enough push into the bolt, where as I was riding it home when I cycled.

What mag brand was he using? I saw a video that said C products or AR stoner work best.....? (not sure though)

He was using the same 20 round pre bans I was.

I didn't have any issues at all, with the factor mags or pre bans. I'll try my pmags next time. I'm pretty sure he was just being too tender with the bolt at this point. I'll see how my wife does.

and it may be just the break in period as well or some minor polishing needed. But as you stated just need a stiffer push is all.

Thank you for the feed back.
