Need a little help with my M&P

Picked up M&P 9 pretty cheap. Had the MA trigger. I installed the apex kit as I did on my shield and 45 myself. Something went wrong. Everything looked good when I put it back together but wont fire. Now I cant get the slide back off. Mag disconnect removed. Before I run this to the gunsmith is there a trick to getting this slide off?

Hmm. Sounds like the trigger isn't releasing the cocked striker, which is preventing dis-assembly. Is there a way to drop the striker by poking a screwdriver through the mag well?

You could also remove the firing pin that may allow the slide to come off

Something wrong w your sear. Probably aplex kit installed improperly.

lock slide back. Look down you see lever underneath the breech. This is sear disconnect lever. Pull it down w small screwdriver. Then remove slide.

if sear disconnect lever will not come down, then dont force it your trigger bar may be stuck under the sear if assembled incorrectly.

FYI M&P pistols have a sear disconnect built into them. I cannot see a situation where pulling out the firing pin is necessary to remove the slide.

i would sugest taking your M&P to a smith and not try to fix it

When you removed your mag disconnect, did you install a new, longer spring to replace the existing one? If you did not, you will need to, or you can have problems with your sear disconnector tripping.
