Need Help Id a S&W model 36

Just got handed down from my father, not sure what year, or value? please help.

the interwebs can tell you the DOM from the serial and Gunbroker can give you an idea of value.

I'm betting late 60's/ early 70's. But yeah, what Sir_Macadoo said.

I'm assuming that is stainless, so it has to be before the introduction of the model 60 right?

The Model 60 was introduced circa 1965 IIRC

But the grips had diamonds on them til 68, so maybe the grips were replaced at some point.

I'd venture 1961 or 1962 with replaced grips

What finish does it have?

Call the S&W 800 line they will look up the ser # and tell you the DOM.

She looks like nickel to me.
