Need help pricing a pair of 1911's

A friend offered me a couple of his pistols and I'm trying to figure out what a fair price for them would be. I don't have any pictures yet (he's been too busy traveling to take any) but here's the information I do have:

Colt Delta Elite 10mm
"Full custom race gun, perfect condition mechanically, well used (Nationals for a bunch of years), red dot on custom side mount, blued steel, possibly built in the 1980's, I think 2 sets of grips, custom holster."
Serial: DE14XXX


Springfield "Custom Shop" 1911
"Very rare V-16 barrel/slide (SA has to custom make them for it) Factory refurbished/new barrel less than 500rnds ago. Good adj sights, brushed silver, I'd guess 1990's for manuf date. 2 sets of grips for .45 (wood & rubber), few holsters"

General
"Bunch of mags for both, inc. 10rnd for .45, lots of extra parts, adj. triggers (set at or under 1nd I'd guess), custom 2-layer cutout case for them"

I have a very vague idea of their value and an idea of what he's looking for them but don't want to pollute anyone's opinions of their value. I know he wants to sell both but I might only be able to afford one (if anyone is interested in purchasing one of them).

10mm? Red dot? Race gun? VERY archaic but interesting piece. I wouldn't quite know how to go about pricing such a beast as it would not be very useful for competition these days outside of steel/pin matches and any "collector" value is pretty well shot due to the modifications.
