I have a Matrix Aerospace (aka Matrix Arms) lower from a NES group buy that I built into a .308 AR10. I decided to build a 6.5 Creedmoor upper for it and have been looking for an upper receiver. I used an Armalite-A stripped receiver on the original but they are either extremely expensive or out of stock today. I’ve had “notify me”’s posted for almost 3 months and nothing. I know that Matrix was the OEM supplier for Diamondback and the Ruger SR-762. Ruger has been out of production long enough that finding a stripped upper is not happening. Diamondback has plenty of upper receivers but their website has a very prominent warning “configures with Diamondback DB10 lowers only”. Diamondback's current supplier is Tactical Machining in FL but all they say is that they build uppers with the Armalite A spec. I had a Wilson Combat billet “TR-UPPER-BIL-10-LA-A” recommended but it did not fit and of course Wilson says "it's an Armalite A pattern".
Sorry for the long history but just wanted to let the community know that I’m not just dumping this out here without doing any work on my own and hopefully I’ll understand any help offered.
Has anybody done a build using a Matrix lower using an upper receiver that is currently available or can you tell me what upper receiver you used for your Matrix Build.
