Hi, I inherited a Steven's 77F 410. Nice old shotgun, hardly ever used, but someone decided to shorten
the stock by 6 inches! I have no idea why. Anyway, I am searching for a stock. I have been scanning the
internet, searching through Ebay which has lots of gun parts, however 410 parts are very seldom seen.

I wonder if anyone knows of a New England gun shop or gun smith who has a large collection of used parts
where I might find a stock for this gun. Another option might be to find a stock maker who could make a new
stock, but I haven't found such a craftsman either! Any help is appreciated. Thank you

It's a long shot, but have you called Savage? If they don't have the stock, they might have the jig to carve a new one. They're in Westfield. The other option would be to find one slightly oversize and whittle it down to size.

I think any series 77 will fit? Or at least it would be easy to fit it
It would not be to hard to add a new section to t old stock either. Although it won't be the best looking thing. Although careful grain matching and such you could do it ...

Go here sign up and post a want to buy....it might be cheaper to buy a complete gun?

I have found some decent stuff here, I,"think" the 67 will fit also (stevens/savage) where fantastic at multi model parts use. If so the one for the 67 410 listed here is a nice looking stock. Little cleaning some nice tung oil finish with some love this could be a great stock.

Sadly I doubt there's anyone left at savage/stevens who could or would be even willing to help you. They can hardly handle current models.

Thanks, I"ll give Savage a try. I have talked to Housier, they didn't have anything.
The 410 is very hard to find in parts, there are lots of 12 gauge, as I expected. I
am probably wasting a lot of time, but this shotgun is about like new, except for the
damn stock issue!

Thanks again for your help. larry.k

I don't see why a 12 g stock can't work?
