I hate IWB to begin with.
I would love to open carry a G20 but we all know thats not going to happen in MA. I had a BG380 but it had a few to many FTEs for me so thats gone.
Right now my CCW is my S&W360PD(11.4oz 357mag revolver) pocket holster.
My main concerns are comfort and slide width as this will be a strictly IWB gun.
Pretty much I want the width of a BG380 with the power of 9mm.
Ive narrowed it down to a few choices...but im all ears.
Kahr PM9
Sig Sauer P938
Kahr p380

Leave your experiences with all of those guns. Don't sugar coat anything. I am leaning towards the PM9 but am worried about the slide width.

The Kahr PM9 Width is only .94" So i wouldn't worry about width.
The trigger is good, I feel it is surprisingly accurate, lite, just 3oz. more than your 360pd. Personally i am much more accurate with it than my 360pd.
Even so i feel It's not fun to shoot, after 100 rounds at the range your looking for something else in your bag, but it's a great pocket gun.
My wife did not like it due to there standard 20lb recoil spring. She couldn't rack it easy.
I cant speak for the other options you have.

If you can't find a sig p938 go with the sig p238 which is the slightly smaller version but in 380... I love mine and also have the mp shield 9mm which i still rather carry the sig... The pm9 was nice but theslide was tough DJ that turned me away

I am not a fan of pocket pistols but do see how they are better than nothing. I aiwb at 12:30 when I carry, very occasionally owb at about 4.

My aiwb pistol toggles between a Walther P99c 9mm (pictured at left) and a G30sf.

Personally I think that the holster (and gun belt) makes or breaks iwb. I have an Alessi Talon plus for each gun and for whatever reason the G30 holster works better. It is tight against my belly and has a decent cant. After using for a few months the pistol slides in and out easily. Same with the P99c. However the P99c holster just does not fit the gun as well. It seems like the gun does not go all the way into the holster so it sits higher and it prints more. I suspect that they used a Gen1 P99c for making the holster, and the Gen2's are just a little different in design.

The concern I have with the Talon plus after having used two of them for about a year is this:

The plastic clip. Not so much worried about the fact that it is plastic - it has proven to be strong enough. But it does not clip onto the belt easily. You have to fumble with it to make sure it is clipped. If it is not clipped and you draw the firearm the whole thing comes out and you have a holstered pistol in your hand. Not good in a bad situation. I think slots or even snap loops for belt retention would be better.

In any case, the holster info should be applicable to any gun - pocket pistol, compact or full size. iwb must be done with care and deliberate movements - especially when re-holstering. But I think the advantages are worth the extra care one must exercise when carrying this way.

I went through the same process as you a while ago. Trying to find the perfect subcompact 9mm. After an exhaustive search my EDC is the PM9 and I couldn't be more pleased. I carry IWB with a remora holster.

On a side note, I think you can cross off the p380 off your list. My PM9 has served me so well i have been searching for one for those grab-n-go occasions. Can't even get a sniff. Good luck.
