Hey guys well after a short 4 weeks of waitin I got my LTC no restrict in mail (last week) and just got a new to me firearm to start with..

I purchased a Beretta 9000SF .40 I have yet to fire it, although I will be going up to Bob's in Salisbury tomorrow I'll let you know how it goes. Like I said its used and def has been fired a bunch, I took it home and cleaned all the lint out of it, it was real linty but def shows wear on the inside nothing bad you just know it was used at one point prob a range gun, does have slight muzzle wear though and it came with a IWB holster.

Just wanted to get some feedback good or bad, I bought it because of how comfortable it feels in my hand and wearing it PLUS the trigger is better than anything else I had looked at. But again the trigger mech is broken in now from the wear.

From what I have read online since purchasing it has gone 50/50 most Beretta guys hate it and it seems new or non partial shooters like it. I know ultimately it's up to me whether I will like it or not. But just wanted to hear what the boys of NES thought....

Beretta is a good first pistol imo. They take pretty much all different manufactures of ammo and are well built. I bought an new 92fs and have put over 2500 rounds through it without a single failure to feed or eject. Make sure to get lots of practice and start thinking about the next caliber gun you might like (try other peoples guns to get a good idea).
Congrats.

Thanks Wan ya I have always loved the Rep Beretta has always liked the look and feel and shoot of them. Just weird how they dis-continued it in favor of the PX4 which is a ghost around here...

Beretta is a high quality, reliable gun. You have to deal with the DA to SA trigger pull transition (an issue you don't have with Glocks, S&W M&P, or single action handguns like the 1911), but that's not a big deal with short range emergency use. It's an excellent defensive weapon, and will be fine for recreational shooting. If you decide you'd be better served by a different gun, just add to your collection - but you could carry this gun for a lifetime and never be "undergunned" except in the eyes of those who feel nothing good ever comes from a fotay.

So I got out to Bob's in Salisbury this afternoon... the gun fits and feels great and shoots just as well... fired about 200 rounds or so of FMJ .180 grain no problems at all no jams or FTF or FTE's I am happy and def will prob keep it and just add to my collection as I get down the road....
