Just got back from a two hour arrow fest. I just installed an hha single pin sight. Wow. That single pin is an absolute game changer.

I have not held a bow since archery season because I've been so focused getting the rifle and me shooting out to 500 meters. So imagine my happiness when I'm hitting a four inch circle at 60 yards.

A few things make all the difference for me. Clear sight picture. So nice not have all the pins cluttering things up. I can see everything. Makes it much easier to shoot with both eyes open. Pin line is vertical. Probably just me but horizontal pins make me sway left and right. And the bubble is right there. So alignment is easy, but it is not cluttering up the sight picture.

The windage adjustment is awesome. No tools, and reach click is an 1/8 inch at 20 yards. No more over adjusting because I tapped it too hard. To me this is huge because I can easily fine tune it as I shoot longer distances.

Pretty sure I know which yardage tape I will be using but I'm going to wait a bit to make sure I'm dead on.

Anyone else using one of these things?

Have shot a single pin adjustable for 20 years now. I set it at about 25 and with todays flatter shooting bows its good from zero to 35 in a deer lung type kill area. No changing pin setting, no thinking.

I generally dont xhoot beyond that. If I was out west like u. Id put a 45 yard setting on there and depending on your bow that might get u from 35 to 50 with just one change in pin setting, but arrow will start to drop considerably after 40. If your shooting elk. The vitals are much bigger so that 45 setting would be ok probably. This was back before sight tape.

To set the tape I shoot known 20/30/40. Or if your going long 20/40/60. Mark the sight frame with a silver sharpie. Do this over a few days to average out your shooting.
Then lay the correct tape over the marks.

Make sure for long shots the fletching clears the sight frame circle. It can get kinda close to your arrow at long distances. Especially if your a heavier hunting arrow guy like I am

Still. I never use the tape. I pretty much set it to 25 and forget it.
