Whenever it decides to appear on the roster. S+W/Walther
is selling tons of these as it is, so my guess is it will take awhile
before they decide to accommodate the MA market. The only
other lameness here is they might have to make the trigger
heavier (10 lbs) in an attempt to comply with the BS ag's
consumer safety regs.

S+W seems to be creeping along with compliance crap
lately.... the M+P .45 still isn't even out in MA yet, and its been
a long time now. It's probably because they are getting more
orders than they can handle.

I spoke with a S&W rep last week and he told me it has been submitted for testing and to expect it around June. I'm not holding my breath though... He let me handle the demo he had and it felt a bit top heavy due to the metal slide and smaller polymer frame. Should be fine with a full mag. I would compare the size to a P99c on a slim fast diet. I cant wait to get some range time with one.

As for M&P .45s most of the problem is with the 10lbs. trigger, they are/were having trouble with the supplier, kind of like a special order you have to wait for[rolleyes], freestaters are getting normal trigger .45s all day long.

S&W/Walther maybe waiting for the full AG compliant gun before submitting to EOPS testing even though they don't have too, but once they pass that we are go to go, the AG won't bother S&W/Walther about compliance as long as they do get the 10lbs. triggers.[thinking]

I saw the PPS in a gun magazine recently and it really looked good to me. Lets hope it gets MA approved - I would like to try one out as a carry gun. It's dimensions make it just about the same size as the Walther P22 - which I think is a great size for a carry gun.

I handled one at a local shop that has one in a case. Above it is a sign that reads "Not Mass compliant yet...but soon!" I handled it and it's super square. It was like holding a mag. I bet it's going to be great for carry but uncomfortable to shoot a bunch.

Anyone have any news on the status of the PPS? I ordered a Versa Max 2 holster for it from Milt Sparks back in the spring and they just charged my credit card so the holster (and a mag carrier) should be here shortly. I'm going to Front Sight in October and I'd really like to bring the PPS with me, as I expect it to become my every day carry gun. This sucks - I'll have the unobtanium VM2 holster but not the unobtanium gun to go with it.

Perhaps they can sell it here with a decocker, but I agree with the previous posters, the 6 lb trigger pull is a problem if the action is pre-cocked.

Got to hold one up in kittery... to me a very nice sized pocket rocket. Hoping to pick one up as soon as the company takes the ma**h*** tests and brings it to our state
