NH 2025 gun Legislation is starting. Top post will have a summary of latest information

Please tell me you're being sarcastic by thinking the Celtic cross on his forearm is a NS symbol.

They were once banned by the US military as a possible extremist symbol for tats.

His other cross tat with little crosses is on the ADL website, too. It’s an anti Islamic crusader image. Ironically Carter’s casket stood on it.

Who knows, maybe Trump will allow rebel flag and iron crosses back into the military.

I was always fond of SS bolts on the neck, myself.

I had some earlier email exchange with Rep. Rich Lascelles (R-Litchfield) on this subject.
He was really proud to have co-sponsored this bill with a leftist, and did not seem willing to change direction, pointing to some NRA studies to support his position.
I don't know him personally but he acted like a real RINO.

Primary him.

Two red flag bills to be acted upon this week.
SB144 (public hearing) and HB159 (Exec session)

From NHFC:
Two dangerous gun control bills are moving through the New Hampshire Legislature, and we need your help to stop them.

📌 HB 159 – Executive Session on Feb 21
📌 SB 144 – Senate Hearing on Feb 20

Both bills create a gun confiscation scheme that allows the state to report individuals to the federal NICS background check system without proper due process. These bills strip away Second Amendment rights based on mental health judgments without clear safeguards, setting the stage for future gun bans and red flag-style confiscations.

House Criminal Justice Chairman Defending HB 159 – We Debunk His Claims

HB 159’s prime sponsor, Rep. Terry Roy (R), Chairman of the House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee, is aggressively defending this bill, and has emailed a rebuttal to our prior emails claiming it protects public safety and does not infringe on due process. But as we’ve laid out clearly, his claims do not hold up to scrutiny. We debunk his claims here.

✅ FACT: The bill allows for reporting people to NICS without a required hearing or guaranteed legal representation. The current law explicitly protects due process; HB 159 repeals those protections.
✅ FACT: The bill’s title is misleading—it does not fix the failures that led to Chief Bradley Haas’ tragic murder but instead targets law-abiding gun owners and creates a dangerous precedent for future gun control.

SB 144 – The Senate’s Version of the Gun Confiscation Bill

The Senate’s version, SB 144, is just as dangerous and is moving fast. Disturbingly, the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) is supporting this bill, selling out New Hampshire gun owners by backing legislation that creates a pathway for expanded gun confiscations.
