Not sure if this should be here, in General, or in NFA (http://www.northeastshooters.com/vbulletin/forums/111-NFA-Items-and-Discussion).

In short this is a bill to mandate 15-day shall-issue for NFA applications. It has passed the Utah House. Seems like the kind of thing we could get here in NH.

Here is the title and link for the Utah bill.
General Description:
9 This bill provides requirements for law enforcement officials to certify federal firearm
10 transfers within a certain time.

It would probably never happen at the federal level.

I realize it is too late for this legislative session, but at this point PGNH, GONH, etc. should get behind this idea and have a pro-2A lawyer draft the bill for the next legislative session. NH is supposedly the machine gun capital of the US. (Note the blood running in the streets.) And this would be helpful for the surging interest in suppressors, SBRs, and SBSs in the state.

New Hampshire does not have a recurring problem with CLEO signoff. That said, I wouldn't mind seeing a law mandating the same 14-day turnaround as for P&R.
