Nighty nite Meg

Jack,

I lurked on this forum for many years. But when I heard about Megan I finally joined up realizing there was someone else on here who shared a common interest beyond guns.

We have 3 parrots and like Megan they pretty much rule my life. Here is a picture of Bee Gee, she is a Blue and Gold Macaw. We had a friend who unfortunately has passed away but he ran a bird rescue outside of Philly. So the cops raid a crack house in South Philly, bust everybody and in the aftermath a cop checks the basement and finds a Macaw basically staving to death with a bowl of dirty water a few peanuts. So he does the right thing and brings the bird home. Cop and wife end up separating, bird is too much work for the guy so he brings it to my friends rescue.

We have had her since 07 and have no idea how old she is. We know that she is at least 30 years old because she had a wild caught quarantine band on her foot. And importing wild caught birds has been illegal for about 30 years now. But Macaws can live to be 100 years old. We have made provisions in our estate for her care should she outlive me and the wife (we are both in our mid 60’s).

About time to put Bee Gee to bed and like Jack I will be back to post more dumb shit here on the forum. I guess I need a life also……… -Pete
