Nikon Buckmasters 3-9x40 BDC Scope

So, I just got a .300 win mag rifle and was considering a Nikon Buckmasters 3-9x40 BDC Scope as my "entry level/start up" scope. Any experience w/ these? Good or bad? I've seen a ton of good reviews, but just curious if any of you have had experiences w/ this scope. I'd love to get an "elite" scope, but I really can't afford more than $300 at this time.

It will be a hunting rifle, but for the moment it is for the range.

nikon makes great scopes i had a pro staff on high rings and it worked wonders. they have a lifetime warranty

Vortex has a no questions asked lifetime guarantee. I somewhat doubt the buckmaster will take the recoil for a long time.
