This.....realistically my driving travel is limited to these states now just to visit my daughter up near you, and they are all CC...........I have FL CCW anyway which adds.Sweet! SC finally did it last year. They also removed the duty to inform when they made the changes to the carry laws. If it makes it through in NC, the entire SE quarter of the country, excluding VA and MD, will be CC states.
FL doesn't do that, but it speeds the process a ton having a CCW is what the FFL tells me.The nice thing about NC (and some other states') CCW permit is it can take the place of a NICS check. So no waiting for a background check when buying a gun. I have Utah and Florida already but I'm going to get my NC CCW again for that reason alone.
I recently received my Utah non resident licenseThe nice thing about NC (and some other states') CCW permit is it can take the place of a NICS check. So no waiting for a background check when buying a gun. I have Utah and Florida already but I'm going to get my NC CCW again for that reason alone.
I didn't think you could use an out of state NICS compliant CCW to bypass the record check when buying a gun in MA. You show in MA, but are you actually in NC?The nice thing about NC (and some other states') CCW permit is it can take the place of a NICS check. Yeah got a beef about that with someone online. Seems some states will forego the NCIS if you have an LTC/CCW, but thought it had to be instate. I was so accustomed to MA and RI running it for every purchase I assumed it was that way everywhere. What I like in RI is that it short circuits the waiting period....so instead of paying for a firearm and waiting a week, I can walk of the store with what I paid for.I didn't think you could use an out of state NICS compliant CCW to bypass the record check when buying a gun in MA. But didn't they recently extend the shooting distance from an occupied home or street to like 300 yards? The nice thing about NC (and some other states') CCW permit is it can take the place of a NICS check. I have not heard about that. Hard for anyone to tell if you're shooting close to a house if you have a suppressorBut didn't they recently extend the shooting distance from an occupied home or street to like 300 yards?
That is 900 feet.
Any state who's license is not valid for more than 5 years does not have to do a BG check at the time of purchase. That is precisely why MA gives you a 6 yr. license. It forces the BG check on each sale. The nice thing about NC (and some other states') CCW permit is it can take the place of a NICS check. So no waiting for a background check when buying a gun. Between Utah non resident and Florida non resident it covers across country mostly until constitutional carry and at least reciprocity bill
Good luck lol just drive straight through or ship to your other house
You grow some balls and drive. How do you get through CT/NY if you're in MA though?

North Carolina Senate Passes Constitutional Carry
The North Carolina Senate approved constitutional carry legislation Thursday, with Republicans voting for it and Democrats opposing it.www.breitbart.com
unfortunately, only the first hurdle to becoming number 30. goes to the house now which sounds like a layup...but then the governor is going to kick it to the curb....so what happens then...would the R"s in NC go through this process only to have it die on the gov's desk....let's find out. This is excellent news but (I could be wrong) wasn't NC already reciprocal with MA and NH?
Regardless, welcome to the Constitutional Carry Club, North Carolina!
You drive. I drove twice and brought down thousands of rounds of ammo and about 15 or more guns each time and AR uppers, lowers, and parts. How do you get through CT/NY if you're in MA though?
Didn't know this....always assumed you needed a check.Any state who's license is not valid for more that 5 years does not have to do a BG check at the time of purchase. That is precisely why MA gives you a 6 yr. license. It forces the BG check on each sale.
NC is recognizes MA CCW....obviously not the other way around. My daughter lived there for a time and I carried on that situation. This is excellent news but (I could be wrong) wasn't NC already reciprocal with MA and NH?

Your joking right?Great for N.C., but what about the rest of us in places like Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New York? The time is now for a national right-to-carry bill. So, what the hell is the GOP waiting for?
