I have been on the road for the last month for weddings, three, rodeos, two, classic car races and general fun and was looking forward to seeing SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED for some much needed R&R.

Then I got a text asking me if I knew the proper break-in for a new .223 and would I be interested in helping out. Oh no I thought another AR. I'm not really an AR kind of guy. I didn't say I didn't know how to use one I just don't have a use for them.

Now yesterday when I got home and opened the message on my PC this is what I found.

Sure I can help. Stack up 1K of .223 and I'll be there Friday was my reply. ;)

Now I'm packing and changing the oil in the Chevy.

I know nothing about them. I had a Galil ARM years ago awesome rifle. I have some good friends. Most have ten times the background as I. More have international shooting creds. It was like When I was a kid I saw the people you practice with define you life.
More than three times in my life I have been very lucky.

I have never been a fan of the "bullpup" design BUT this Tavor may change my mind I would love to get a chance to try one out.

I will have to say this would have been handy in 1968 but I still like the M14 for moving through walls of bamboo and mud.

I agree but the world has changed. Much of our fighting in the middle east is urban warfare where the troops are moving in and fighting out of vehicles. The short bullpup design is great for this.

Also a short design is great for airborne ops. I never met anyone who jumped with an M 14 who wanted to do it again.
