Im in Danvers with a new LTC, looking for a place to shoot. Im probably ten minutes or so from DF&G. Their website has been under construction for quite a while. Im curious about what they have to offer vs. other clubs. Website says clubhouse closes at 3pm. Im assuming the whole place isnt closed down before most people are even out of work though. Any members here that can chime in?

What are the hours of operation?

24 hr access?

Any more restrictive than other clubs in the area? (no rapid fire, no more than 5 rounds in a mag, x amount of seconds between rounds, etc)

Overall vibe at the club? Friendly, cliquey, laid-back...

Ive got kind of a funny schedule. Work sunday to thursday, school after work a couple nights a week. ( monday and tuesday's this semester) Usually home around 5-530 ish on work nights. Whens a good time to swing by? Can I just walk in anytime and ask for a tour? Do they have a certain time for open house?

I'd love to hear from members or anyone who can give me an idea of what its like, good and bad. Feel free to pm me if you'd rather not offend anyone on the forum.

Thanks

ETA- Also, Im interested in IDPA and three gun competition, eventually after I feel more comfortable handling a firearm in general. Is this something that is club-specific? As in, if you want to shoot IDPA but you join "club x" youre SOL because they dont do that there. Ive seen and read a bit about it, but dont know all the specifics. Is it similar to a dart league where you get a team together and travel to other clubs? Just dont want to join somewhere and then find out its not available there and I have to go somewhere else.

No 24 hour access plus the indoor range is closed for renovations. Some will say it's a fudd club but I like it. As far as I know they don't have a round limit. I shot my 1919 with a 100 round belt and pretty fast at near the end. Yes, some older guys got pissed because I interrupted the sewing circle.

I have a "Good Friend / Extended Family"... that is interested in Danvers Fish & Game.

Any Members of D.F.&G.
If you could P.M. me any info on Membership. The person interested is a Life Long Resident of Danvers; He is retired
and is into hunting as well.

Any Input Is Appreciated!
