Mine jams routinely, though not with factory rounds; I'm trying to dial in a reloading recipe for mine, and it's proving to be a pain in the arse.

Mine like the cheap Prograde stuff they sell at FS.

Send it back to SIG and they will replace the extractor. That process took about two weeks with one of mine. (SIG appears to be having some quality control issues)

Also, what lubrication are you using? The P238 can be finicky because of the light weight.

I have about 250 rounds through my new Equinox. No issues like this. I agree, full cleaning first but more importantly, what were you using for ammo? Reloads? These little guns can be finicky.

100 Grain CMJ Over 3.0 grains of W231, .980 OAL....Ive loaded about 1500 of them for the 238 and the LCP....flawless Performance

i just bought one, and havent found any ammo for it short of defense rounds. i bought two boxes of pdx1 defender 95 grain hollow points, and almost every round fired locks the slide back. i did notice one case that was dented like the OP is asking about. as well i had one jam. cleaned it twice, fired 4 mags through it, 28 rounds total, must have locked back 20 times. meant to call sig tonight, but i forgot.
